Advanced Skin Renewal

HIFU

RF Fractional (Radiofrequency Fractional) treatment for the face is a non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure that uses radiofrequency energy combined with microneedling to improve skin texture, tone, and firmness. This treatment is designed to stimulate collagen production, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and treat skin concerns like uneven texture, acne scars, and large pores.

How the treatment works

The RF Fractional treatment combines two technologies:
This energy is delivered to the deeper layers of the skin using a device with multiple tiny electrodes. The radiofrequency (RF) energy heats the dermis (the deeper layer of the skin), stimulating the production of collagen and elastin, which are key proteins responsible for keeping the skin firm, smooth, and youthful. The heat generated by RF also causes skin tightening by encouraging the skin fibers to contract, giving the skin a firmer appearance.

This involves tiny, controlled needles that create micro-channels in the skin. The combination of these tiny pinpricks, along with RF energy, allows the RF to penetrate deeper into the skin layers more effectively, which enhances the collagen-boosting effects. The microneedles also help to improve the skin’s texture by breaking down scar tissue and stimulating fresh skin cell regeneration.

How the treatment works

Collagen Boosting

The combination of microneedling and RF energy boosts collagen and elastin production, which are crucial for skin's elasticity, smoothness, and youthfulness. Over time, this leads to a firmer, more toned appearance.

Skin Tightening

RF energy stimulates the deeper layers of the skin, helping to tighten and lift sagging skin, particularly around the jawline, neck, and under-eye area. It can be an excellent treatment for mild to moderate skin laxity, often serving as a non-surgical facelift option.

Reduction of Fine Lines and Wrinkles

RF Fractional treatment can help to reduce fine lines and wrinkles by stimulating collagen production, smoothing out the skin, and improving its overall texture and elasticity.

Ideal Candidates for HIFU

Before the treatment, you’ll have a consultation with a qualified practitioner who will assess your skin, discuss your concerns, and create a customized treatment plan. You’ll also be given guidance on how to prepare your skin for the procedure.

Treatment Process

During the procedure, the practitioner will apply a numbing cream to the treated area to minimize discomfort. Then, the RF Fractional device will be used on the skin to deliver both microneedling and radiofrequency energy. The microneedles will create tiny micro-channels in the skin while the RF energy is delivered at the same time.

Post Treatment

After the treatment, you may experience some redness, swelling, or mild skin irritation, which should subside within a few hours to a couple of days. There may also be slight skin flaking or peeling as the skin starts to regenerate, but this is a normal part of the healing process.

After care

Avoid sun exposure immediately after the treatment and use a high SPF sunscreen to protect your skin. You may experience some mild redness or swelling, but this should resolve quickly. It’s important to avoid picking at your skin as it heals. The skin may begin to shed or flake as it regenerates, but this is temporary and part of the natural healing process.

FAQs

What is RF microneedling?
Like traditional microneedling, RF microneedling uses a device that contains hundreds of very short, very thin needles to create microscopic injuries in the skin, which stimulates cell regeneration. RF microneedling, however, also uses radiofrequency technology, which heats the skin and helps tighten it.

We recommend patients receive three or four treatments in order to achieve ideal results. These treatments will be spaced out with about four to six weeks in between each one. You will most likely see improvement in the skin after two treatments, and your results will be most apparent when about three months have passed after your last treatment. Maintenance treatments are recommended for lasting results.
